With the season coming to an end in the next two weeks, it’s entering the stage where Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid will be officially announced. The 25-year-old has already publicly revealed that is leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, but his destination is not officially known yet.

Because of the European Championships taking place in Germany, at which Mbappe will lead France as captain, there are unknowns as to when the presentation will take place. According to Relevo, Real Madrid do have a date in mind, and it would be in the days after the Champions League final on the 1st of June.

However, Mbappe would still officially be a PSG player at this time, as he contract runs until the 30th of next month. Real Madrid would need permission from the Ligue 1 champions to hold the presentation before Euro 2024 gets underway, and if it is not received, they would have to wait until July.

For now, there is little focus at Real Madrid on the Mbappe situation, with all eyes on the Champions League final instead. They do not want any distractions for Carlo Ancelotti and his players in the build-up, which is certainly very reasonable.
